The Umpqua Explorers are the Douglas County Museum's teen (12-17) outdoor education and adventure corps!

About

The Umpqua Explorers are the Douglas County Museum’s Youth Corps. This is a no cost outdoor education program for youth (12-17) to expand their understanding of the natural history and culture of the Umpqua River Valley, gain professional experience, and give back to their community.

The Museum

The Douglas County Museum has been collecting, preserving and exhibiting natural and cultural history items for more than 50 years. Oregon’s largest natural history collection is on display at the Douglas County Museum, with more than 7,500 items that are used to help tell the ancient and contemporary stories of the Umpqua River Valley.
